Christopher Chapman

Chris founded Chapman Net Systems, Inc. in 1998 with his wife, Maecia Chapman, to serve the Internet development needs of companies across the US and worldwide. Christopher has also co-founded 3 other Internet-based businesses, one of which is now public, and has served on the board of over a dozen companies. Chris made support for the personal and social lives of employees a founding principal of CNS, and his proudest accomplishments are his strong relationship with wife, Maecia, and his two adorable boys, Gabriel and Luke. He spends his evenings and weekends coaching soccer, volunteering at his childrens' school, and instilling in his children a love for science, creativity, invention, and rational thinking. He spends most of his free time with the boys building science projects, woroking together in their wood shop, and admiring the beauty of the Universe with them through the lense of their telescopes in the backyard. He has served on the board of his church, and actively volunteers and financially supports his church and other community organizations with his wife. Christopher brings to CNS the experience of an entrepreneur, the knowledge of a web application architect and developer, and the skills of a technical project manager. Unlike many of his contemporaries, Christopher built CNS by focusing on retaining clients through ongoing commitment to their success. CNS avoided outside investments from venture capitalists. Instead, CNS chose a growth plan in line with Christopher's commitment to client satisfaction and retention. Whereas many in the dot-com age were inflating the bottom line by ushering new clients in the front door and pushing old ones out the back, CNS grew by building long-lasting relationships. The plan worked. Despite refusing any investment, CNS has grown an average of 35% per year since 1998 while maintaining a single-digit debt ratio. During that time, the dot-com bubble grew and burst and so with it went some of our competitors, yet CNS and our loyal clients continued to move forward. He and his team of developers have built a variety of novel Internet applications for more than 100 companies from New York to Brazil, ranging in size from Internet-based startups to Fortune 500 companies. CNS now offers e-commerce development, content management systems, search engine optimization, pay-per-click strategies, world-class hosting, and graphic design.
