How do I adjust my site's meta tags?

Adjusting "site-wide" meta tags

Before launching your site, CNS has set up a "site-wide" set of meta tags for your site (i.e. a default set of meta tags).  These are the meta tags that appear on the home page of your site.  Also, the site-wide meta tags appear on any page where you have left the description or keywords blank.  See this image for an example (click here).

If you'd like your site-wide meta tags to be changed, go ahead and contact us and let us know what changes you'd like made.

Adjusting meta tags on a page by page basis

You can use the "General Properties" button to create/edit the tite, description and keywords meta tags for any specific page.  The data you enter in the description or keywords boxes will overwrite the site-wide meta tags for that particular page.

To adjust meta-tags for a specific page:

  1. Browse to the page in question
  2. Click the "General Properties" button using the CMS control panel
  3. Adjust the title, description and/or keywords to your liking.
  4. Press submit.
  5. Use the "Approve Changes" function to approve the changes you made.
