When should I "submit a new request"?

The "Submit a new request" button found at the top of the Tracker home page can be very tempting.  However, using it can often result in slower response time than if you were to follow these instructions.

It is a good practice to browse through already-existing client tasks before using the "Submit a new request" function.  When you find that you have something you'd like to post, we'd appreciate you following these steps:

  1. Browse to http://www.cnsusa.com/tracker
  2. Browse through all the existing tasks
  3. If there is a task that relates to the comment or question you'd like to post, please click on that task and post a new message within that task.
    • You can post a new message by:
      1. Hitting the "New Message" button
      2. Or hitting any of the "Reply" buttons that accompany each message posted within the task
  4. If, after looking through the existing tasks, you find that there is no task that matches the topic you need to bring to our attention, then use the "Submit a new request" button.

By following these steps, your comment or question is more likely to be processed quicker than if you open a new request.  Messages posted in existing tasks will likely be received by the developer assigned to that task immediately.  New requests will only be sent to project managers and hence will require additional processing before being brought to the person who will actually handle the task: the developer.

Thanks for helping us by following our communication protocols.
